We love this roasted pear recipe this fall! Full of flavor and natural sweetness.
4 pears, peeled, halved and without seeds
½ tsp corn starch
½ cup apple juice
2 Tbsp dried cranberries, chopped
1/4 cup raw walnuts, chopped
Spices, fresh or powder:
1. Spray pan with oil spray to avoid sticking and place pear halves side down to cook for about 5 min (lightly browned) over the heat.
2. Turn the pears to the opposite side and bake in the oven for 10 min check halfway, turn them over and continue to bake for another 10 min.
3. Mix apple juice, cornstarch, cranberries and spices and mix over medium high heat until sauce is browned and thickened for about 5 minutes.
4. Remove pears from the oven and place on a platter, add sauce onto the pears and sprinkle with walnuts.
