We all want to burn as many calories as possible during our workout routine. Here are a few tips to boost your workout and burn more fat while exercising!
Add some weight: To pump up the calorie burn, hold extra dumbbells while you move. Try to go heavier weekly; this will cause your body to work a bit harder each time, burning more. For example, hold weights when you squat or lunge.
Increase the Incline: If you are a regular on the treadmill, increase the incline and this will increase your calorie burn. Your leg muscles will start working and your heart rate will go up. Start easy with a 5-minute walk and then slowly add the incline. If you walk outdoors, go for an uphill powerwalk.
Go for Intervals: High intensity interval training (HIIT), can now get you burning more calories and increasing your weight loss in half the time. The best way to do this is to alternate between high intensity moves (ex. Sprinting) with low intensity moves for recovery (ex. Walking).
Switch it up: Don’t rely on the same routine all the time. This may be keeping your body in the comfort zone. Switch up your workout routine to keep challenging your body and muscles.
