My treat for you this Christmas is a delicious gingerbread cookie recipe! This recipe has less the sugar than the usual amount with 80 calories per cookie!
1 Tbsp ground ginger
1 ¾ tsp ground cinnamon
6 Tbsp unsalted butter
½ cup molasses
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
Procedure: 1. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, and cinnamon in a bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the butter and egg, then add the molasses and vanilla.
3. Stir in the dry ingredients and mix until smooth
4. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
5. Roll the dough and lay it out on a lightly floured surface, using cookie cutters shape as desired.
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Yield: 30 cookies
